Turtle Beach

All the turtles came from eggs. Which survived?

When the water came to shore it crashed down

Taking what it wanted when it arrived.

Do not tell the children for they may frown.

Once at sea do we lose sight of the shore?

Does the darkness eat us like the sea ate

The cracked eggs of the dead? At the door

Will we turn away on our judgement date?

The days grow old, the sea is always blue.

It is the bluest day now, and it shall

Only grow dimmer. Oh how the sun flew

Over the beach, and over our canal.

Into the sea I shall return as foam,

Far away from the beach is where I’m home.
